BOAT INSPECTIONS

The Sheriff's Office promotes boating safety by providing safety inspections on the river, along the shore, and at the Sheriff's Office. Every boat on the water is subject to a safety inspection at any time. The sheriff deploys sworn deputies and certified volunteers to conduct these inspections. Our aim is to make boating on Oregon's waterways a safe and pleasurable experience for boaters of all ages.

Please note that boat inspections are no longer performed on Sundays at the Sheriff's Office. The Marine Patrol will conduct boat inspections and Boater Education Exams by appointment only.
